What inspires me to create music is my love for it. This love is embodied in the power of music to evoke emotions. That power has moved me for as long as I can remember listening to music. I also feel it when I explore the universe of sound myself. In doing so, I encounter seemingly endless spaces of discovery. This process of exploration allows me to immerse myself in a timeless world—one that awakens a sense of comfort and warmth, where every new discovery brings with it a feeling of achievement.
Music is deeply personal to every individual, as each person experiences it in their own unique way. My goal is to create soundscapes that touch me on a deeper level, and ideally, allow others to share in that same feeling. This is another essential reason why I am fascinated by music and its creation: it connects people. And what could be more beautiful than such a goal?
The more people I can reach and move with my music, the closer I come to realizing this purpose. Thus, there is a deeply personal relationship between music and myself, along with the desire to share it with others.
Andy Martin is a Hamburg-based musician whose passion for music has been an essential part of his life since his youth.
